Terms of use
These cover this website. They are not a client agreement — nothing is sold or bought through this site.
Who publishes this site
This website is published by SolsticeX Creations, trading as SolsticeX, an independent studio based in Australia and working with clients worldwide.
The website itself
The writing, design, photography and code on this site are ours and stay ours. You're welcome to read it, link to it, and quote a reasonable amount of it with attribution. Reproducing it in substance, or presenting the design as your own work, isn't something we permit. Any third-party names or marks that appear belong to their owners.
Using the site
Use it lawfully and sensibly. Please don't:
- try to disrupt the site, or reach parts of it you haven't been given access to
- scrape it heavily enough to slow it down for anyone else
- send anything through the enquiry form you don't have the right to send
That's the whole list. We're not going to write rules for behaviour nobody engages in.
Portfolio
We may show completed work in our portfolio once it is live and publicly available. That can include screenshots, brand elements, a description of what the project involved, and a link to the site itself.
Confidential work is never displayed. If a project needs to stay private, tell us before it begins and we'll agree to it in writing and honour it. If something is already published and you'd prefer it wasn't, ask us and we'll talk it through.
Anything more detailed than that — who owns what, and what either side may publish — belongs in the agreement we sign for the project, not on a public page.
Testimonials
Any testimonial on this site is published with the permission of the person who gave it. We may correct spelling, punctuation or formatting so it reads cleanly; we don't change what someone meant, and we don't write words on anyone's behalf. If you've given us one and want it removed, say so and it comes down.
Liability
This site is offered as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be either — a page can go out of date, and hosting can fail. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss arising from using this site, from relying on something published here, or from the site being unavailable.
Nothing on this page removes rights you have under any law that can't be contracted out of — including, where it applies to you, the Australian Consumer Law. Where a guarantee applies and can't be excluded, it applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
